Police probe into biggest cheating case in Perak

IPOH, March 2 — Police are looking for four directors of a wholesale company here following reports of cheating involving RM6.16 million, in what police have described as the biggest cheating case in Perak.

Deputy state police chief SAC I Datuk Zakaria Yusof said 30 companies, which had been dealing with the company in the past 10 years, lodged police reports between Feb 17 and 24 claiming that they had been cheated by the company.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the Jusco supermarket here, he said they claimed that the wholesale company had failed to pay them the sum.

Police are now looking for the four men aged between 32 and 52 who are believed to be living in Menglembu here.

He said police investigations showed that the company, with an address

in Chandan Jaya industrial area, Menglembu, had been closed and the four directors disappeared.
